Australian Mist news from home and abroad
It is with great excitement that we congratulate Judith and Warren Wegner in North Carolina USA on the birth of 6 beautiful Australian Mist kittens on July 13th 2011.
Judith is very proud to be the first registered breeder of Australian Mists in the USA and we welcome her on board this wonderful programme.
Judith has two beautiful marbled Australian Mists which she bought from Mary Stuart in the UK in December 2008. Judith was so enamoured by these cats especially after a highly successful appearance on 'Cats 101' a TV programme on Animal Planet that she decided to bite the bullet and become a breeder.
In June 2011 Rumtumtugger Topaz joined the Wegner clan and 4 weeks later gave birth to 6 perfect kittens. The sire of the kittens is the Peach spotted boy, Rumtumtugger Zakat who belongs to Mary Stuart.
We are delighted to announce that the Australian Mist has now 'officially' joined the ranks of the GCCF here in the UK and after receiving recognition by Council in October 2011 we will be able to show Australian Mists at GCCF shows from April 26th 2012.
We are proud to introduce Rumtumtugger Maram Drouin, our first male stud kitten to go to the USA.
Drouin lives with Judith & Warren Wegner at the Mountainmist cattery in North Carolina.
The newest addition to the UK Australian Mist gene pool is Ruby Gold Grand Champion Nintu Marmor Koa Lirra who has a list of show wins in Australia almost as long as her name. She is a beautiful chocolate marbled female who has been imported from Dr. Truda Straede by Val King at Rosevalley Australian Mists. Koa arrived in the UK just a month before giving birth to a lovely litter.
Koa is currently the highest titled Australian Mist in the UK.
